                                      Hormonal Health: Vitamin B6, Zinc and Supplements for Men and Women

                                      What EU law says: very few hormone-related claims are authorised in the European Union, and all of them concern vitamins and minerals. On this page we explain which they are and describe the other products factually. These claims apply only to products that provide at least 15% of the nutrient reference value (NRV) per daily dose — always check each product's table.

                                      Vitamin B6: vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity, to normal psychological function and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Doses such as 100 mg a day exceed the EFSA tolerable upper intake level (12 mg/day) — use them only on medical advice. See more options in B complex.

                                      Zinc: zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood, to normal fertility and reproduction and to the normal function of the immune system. Products with 50 mg per serving exceed the tolerable upper intake level (25 mg/day). Compare doses in the Zinc collection.

                                      Multivitamins: formulas such as Opti-Men and Opti-Women combine vitamins and minerals in one daily dose; each nutrient present at 15% NRV or more carries its own authorised claims. Find more in Vitamins and Minerals.

                                      Botanicals and amino acids: ashwagandha (including KSM-66®), maca, fenugreek, tribulus, black cohosh, evening primrose oil and L-arginine have no authorised health claims in the European Union, so we describe them only by origin, form and amount per serving.
