Sleep and Stress: Melatonin, Magnesium and Vitamin B6
Melatonin 1 mg: melatonin is the only ingredient with an authorised sleep-related claim — melatonin contributes to the reduction of time taken to fall asleep. The beneficial effect is obtained by consuming 1 mg of melatonin close to bedtime. In this collection you will find melatonin as 1 mg tablets and as a liquid that can be measured to 1 mg.
Magnesium: magnesium contributes to normal functioning of the nervous system, to normal psychological function, to normal muscle function and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. There are several forms — glycinate (bisglycinate), malate, citrate and L-threonate (Magtein®) — as capsules, tablets or powder. Compare them in the Magnesium collection. The EFSA tolerable upper intake level for supplemental magnesium is 250 mg/day.
Vitamin B6 and B complex: vitamin B6 contributes to normal psychological function, to normal functioning of the nervous system and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue; the same applies to other B-complex vitamins. These claims apply only to products that provide at least 15% of the nutrient reference value (NRV) per daily dose — always check each product's table.
Amino acids and botanicals: the collection also includes glycine, GABA, L-tryptophan, ashwagandha (including KSM-66®), maca, passionflower, hops, lemon balm, black cohosh and Relora®. These ingredients have no authorised health claims in the European Union, so we describe them only by origin, form and amount per serving. You will find more plant extracts in Herbal Supplements.
