Frequently Asked Questions

How much vitamin C is in each serving?

Each rounded teaspoon (about 5.4 g) provides 4000 mg of vitamin C as ascorbic acid, which is 5000% of the NRV (80 mg). It also provides 145 mg of calcium, 365 mg of potassium, 55 mg of magnesium and 2 mg of zinc.

It means the ascorbic acid is combined with alkaline minerals (calcium, magnesium and potassium carbonates), which reduce its acidity. When mixed into water it fizzes; wait for the fizzing to stop before drinking.

Life Extension recommends mixing 1 teaspoon into a glass of water and waiting for the fizzing to stop before drinking.

Vitamin C contributes to normal function of the immune system, to normal collagen formation for the normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, skin and teeth, to normal energy-yielding metabolism, to normal functioning of the nervous system, to normal psychological function, to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to the regeneration of the reduced form of vitamin E, and increases iron absorption.
