Vitamin D contributes to normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus, to normal blood calcium levels, to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, to the maintenance of normal muscle function and to the normal function of the immune system. Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and to normal blood clotting.

Vitamin K1 (phylloquinone) is found mainly in green leafy vegetables. Vitamin K2 (menaquinones) is found in fermented foods and animal products. This formula uses K2 as MK-4 (menaquinone-4).
Take 1 capsule, 1 to 2 times per day, with a meal, as indicated by NOW Foods. Each capsule provides 25 mcg of vitamin D (500% NRV) and 45 mcg of vitamin K (60% NRV).
Vitamin K may interfere with anticoagulants such as warfarin. If you are on anticoagulant therapy, you must talk to your doctor before taking vitamin K in any form or dose.
