MyProtein L-Carnitine is a food supplement in tablet form. Each daily serving of 2 tablets provides 1 g of L-carnitine L-tartrate, of which 682 mg is L-carnitine.

L-carnitine is a compound produced by the body from the amino acids lysine and methionine and also obtained from food, mainly meat and dairy products. In the body, it is involved in transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria. L-carnitine has no authorised health claims in the EU.

L-carnitine L-tartrate is a form of L-carnitine bound to tartaric acid. According to MyProtein, the product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
