Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between magnesium bisglycinate, citrate and oxide?

They are different forms of magnesium. Oxide has a lot of elemental magnesium per gram but is less soluble. Citrate is widely used but may have a laxative effect at high doses. Bisglycinate binds magnesium to the amino acid glycine and is generally well tolerated digestively.

Each level teaspoon (about 3 g) provides 300 mg of elemental magnesium, 80% NRV. The 227 g pack contains about 76 servings.

Mix 1 level teaspoon into at least 180 ml of water or juice and take 1 to 2 times per day with a meal, as indicated by NOW Foods. The powder must always be diluted in a liquid before ingestion.
