Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy, to normal amino acid synthesis, to normal blood formation, to normal homocysteine metabolism, to normal psychological function, to the normal function of the immune system and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and has a role in the process of cell division.
